On Tuesday night, Kansas freshman Cheick Diallo will make his debut as a Jayhawk, against Loyola Maryland at Allen Fieldhouse. This afternoon at Bill Self’s weekly press conference, Diallo and the upcoming non-conference schedule figure to dominate the conversation. Follow along live right here.

Diallo, as you’re probably aware by now, missed the first 5 games of the season but has now been cleared to play by the NCAA.
A 6-foot-9 forward originally from Kayes, Mali, in Africa, Diallo played high school basketball at Our Savior New American, in New York. There he finished as the No. 7-ranked recruit in the nation, according to the ESPN100.
Diallo averaged 17.6 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks during his senior season, which he followed up on by earning MVP honors at the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic.
