Jayhawks are on the court for warmups. Plenty of open seats at Sprint Center.
The usual starters for tonight's game: Mason, Graham, Jackson, Bragg and Lucas.
Warmup clock says 15 minutes. So 8:30 start.
With a win, the Jayhawks will play Georgia in the late game tomorrow night. The loser will face George Washington.
What's the #1 thing that everyone wants to see out of KU tonight? If you ask me, I'd want to see a strong performance from Landen Lucas. I don't think a slow start to the year would affect him in Big 12 play (or late in the season), but it would be nice to see him get back on track tonight.
Typical UAB starters tonight: Hakeem Baxter, Chris Cokley, Deion Lavender, Dirk Williams and William "Haha" Lee.
Carlton Bragg caught off guard during starting lineup introductions. He was just chilling on the bench until Devonte Graham tapped him on the shoulder.
They announced forwards first, instead of the usual guards, so that's probably why Bragg wasn't paying too much attention.
Josh Jackson with a right-handed slam to start this one. He loves those opening possessions.
Two possessions = 2 dunks. Bragg with a jam from Jackson.
Frank Mason drains a 3. Jayhawks with a 7-0 lead in first 2 minutes.
Carlton Bragg with the first foul. Made it more than 2.5 minutes without a foul in this one. Not sure if I'm used to it.
Lagerald Vick and Udoka Azubuike checking in for Landen Lucas and Josh Jackson. Jackson asked for a breather.
UAB isn't Duke or Indiana but this is still a team projected to win its conference. Very impressive start.
