Only one conference champion will get a chance to move on to the Elight Eight after the Big 12’s Kansas Jayhawks and the Big Ten’s Purdue Boilermakers meet Thursday night at Sprint Center, in the Sweet 16.
The No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region, KU is led by senior point guard Frank Mason III. But No. 4 seed Purdue has its own national player of the year candidate in sophomore big man Caleb Swanigan.

Biggest thing to watch for, in my opinion, is fouls on Josh Jackson. He's the X-factor for both sides. Without Jackson, KU will have trouble with Purdue's length. With Jackson on the floor, Purdue has some difficult defensive decisions to make.
