The only undefeated team left in Big 12 play, No. 2-ranked Kansas is back at Allen Fieldhouse looking to stay perfect in the conference against Oklahoma State. The Cowboys (10-6 overall, 0-4 Big 12) are on the opposite end of the standings from the Jayhawks (15-1, 4-0), but OSU’s losses have come to top-10-ranked Baylor and West Virginia, as well as at Texas and against Iowa State.
So what's the big storyline for today's game? For me, I think I'll go with Carlton Bragg. He hasn't been playing great lately, but earlier this week coach Bill Self and Landen Lucas both said that his mindset is in the right place. Against a team that rebounds pretty well (15.5 offensive rebounds per game), Bragg will be needed in a big way today.
Elijah Johnson in the house today.
Oklahoma State starters: Jawun Evans, Phil Forte, Leyton Hammonds, Jeffrey Carroll, Mitchell Solomon.
Jayhawks (I think Devonte Graham) hit a half-court shot heading into the locker room for the final time.
Officials today: Mike Stuart, Keith Kimble and Tony Padilla.
Less than a minute on the scoreboard. Then national anthem and starting lineups.
Mason matching up against Jawun Evans. Graham on Forte.
Evans opens the scoring with a steal and layup. Then Mason earns a trip to the foul line by rushing the ball back down the court.
Nice drive by Jeffrey Carroll for a reverse layup. 4-2 OSU.
Evans down the paint for a layup-and-the-foul. Mason called for his first foul. Vick replaces Svi.
Josh Jackson guarded by Phil Forte equals an easy postup and layup.
