Coming off their third loss inside Allen Fieldhouse this season, the No. 10-ranked Kansas Jayhawks (18-5 overall, 7-3 Big 12) find themselves tied for first place in the Big 12 standings with Texas Tech. KU looks to maintain its position and bounce back from Saturday’s home loss. Visiting TCU (16-7, 4-6), meanwhile, is coming off a home loss to Texas Tech.
Assuming everyone has already heard (but just in case): Mitch Lightfoot is expected to start in place of Lagerald Vick tonight. Bill Self blasted his team's effort in a press conference yesterday. We'll see how that impacts how KU plays today.
Lightfoot will indeed earn his first career start tonight.
TCU starters: Alex Robinson, Desmond Bane, Kenrich Williams, JD Miller and Vlad Brodziansky.
Final Vegas line: Kansas by 7. Over/under set at 157.
Alternate poll question: who will be the first player off the bench tonight? I'll go with Marcus Garrett.
Starting lineup introductions underway...
Huge ovation for Mitch Lightfoot. He had a big smile on his face.
Lots of Lagerald Vick in the pre-game hype video. Seems like forever ago that he was playing like the best player on the team.
And we are underway after Udoka wins the tip...
First possession is a Udoka Azubuike slam from Newman.
One shot, one defensive rebound.
First foul on Kenrich Williams after that Svi drive.
Brodziansky continues to torch Kansas.
