The No. 3-ranked Kansas Jayhawks already can call themselves Big 12 champions for the 13th consecutive season. But KU (25-3 overall, 13-2 Big 12) can claim the title outright with a Saturday evening victory at Texas (10-18, 4-11).
After clinching a share of a Big 12 title, the Jayhawks have dealt with a couple of off-the-court issues (though no suspensions). Will it have an effect on the way they play today?
Who's the player to watch today? I'll go with Landen Lucas/Josh Jackson for whoever has to guard Jarrett Allen. He was phenomenal against Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse. He's scored at least 17 points in six of the last seven games.
Texas starters: Andrew Jones, Eric Davis Jr., Kerwin Roach Jr., Jarrett Allen and Shaquille Cleare.
This Baylor/Iowa State game is definitely going to OT somehow, right?
Great call by the ESPN commentator on Baylor's last play. Knew exactly what was coming.
KU wins the tip and Josh Jackson opens with a layup. 2-0.
And a shot clock violation for Texas on first possession. Great start.
Josh Jackson nails a 3. Doesn't look like off-the-court issue will affect him today.
Shaq Clare scores on a layup, then picks up a foul trying to defend Lucas in the paint.
Great pass by Josh Jackson, but Frank Mason can't convert the contested layup.
Svi goes 2/2 at the FT line.
Devonte Graham with back to back steals, this time finishing with a dunk. One team came to play today.
