After a week off from competition the Kansas football team returns to the field at Jones AT&T Stadium, in Lubbock, Texas, for a Big 12 road game at Texas Tech (4-2 overall, 2-1 Big 12). The Jayhawks (2-4, 0-3) have dropped three straight games since closing nonconference play with a convincing win over lowly Rutgers (1-6).

The pass-happy approach early today under David Beaty similar to approach vs. West Virginia. Why, when KU's best players are running backs Pooka Williams and Khalil Herbert, does KU insist on passing, which also lengthens game for the favorite. #KUfballby Tom Keegan via twitter 10/20/2018 7:55:42 PM

QB play letting KU down early. Missed a TD to Simms.
-
Great punt coverage there by Osaze Ogbebor and he wasn't alone in being right there around the ball. Emmanuel Moore having gr8 year on special teams. Unit has improved under Kenny Perry. Has them all believing they are starters, just as off. and def. players are. #KUfballby Tom Keegan via twitter 10/20/2018 8:07:26 PM

QB play letting KU down early. Hard to win when your QB badly missed Simms streaking open down sideline.

Tech's Dakota Allen of #LastChanceU with big stop, forcing Kansas to settle for FG, Rui from 20 yds. Defense gives offense 1st and G from 3 and Kansas gets nothing from it. #KUfballby Tom Keegan via twitter 10/20/2018 8:13:36 PM

Get friggin Bender out now. Offense and Beaty are useless. This is on them, defense can’t do everything
-
Wow, first and goal from 3 and have to settle for a field goal. Again not capitalizing on defensive turnovers.
-
Lee laying the wood on defense, but without an offense, little hope for an upset on the road.

Jayhawks with just 35 yards of offense on three drives.
